Does the verizon dsl software or any other software need to be installed on a second computer? Ok, here's the situation. My cousin has a computer that was given to him. He already had a connection running from the router in the kitchen to his room, with his roommate's pc in the kitchen right beside the router. He had the Verizon dsl software installed on his old computer, but the cd(s) ended up getting lost. Well, we got the new computer hooked up to the dsl connection in the apartment (typing on it right now) without using the Verizon DSL software cd(s), and he also has Avast anti-virus installed on his computer. But does he actually need to install any Verizon dsl software or any other software for the modem/router the connection is coming through?
