Is there any freeware program for combining pictures taken in astrophotography etc.?

I need a freeware program or program to combine exposures. Thanks.

1. Yes, there is freeware available that might do what you are looking to do, but, you don't really say what that is. Very specifically, what do you mean by combining photos? For example, there are programs specifically for astrophotography that use combined images to do blind deconvolution and reconstruct images subject to atmospheric distortion. There are processes that can be used with freeware to reduce noise by up to 16 db and pull out star details that are otherwise lost in the noise and help delineate galaxies, etc. Or do you just want to combine the moon and something else for a nice picture. There is very good free software for that. See what the problem is?
