Downloads and Uploads

Why every time I put downloads in my download folder in Sims 2, it freezes up?

I put my downloads in the Download folder and extracted them, but then I started the game and it freezed up at Wheel Bearings! So then I moved my Downloads under Program Files and Sims 2! And then it worked! But then my downloads didn't even appear in the game! What to do to get my game up and running and have my downloads inside the game?

1. hmmm I dunno what you did but you might try this and see if it works. Go to your EA games folder and then go to The Sims 2. Once there you should have a download folder. if you do not create one naming it simply 'downloads'. Now you can extract your downloads to this folder. I would just download the Zip or Rar files to your desktop and then extract to the downloads folder. Do not put the ZIP and RAR files in the downloads folder. Make sure that you have all of the meshes needed for the downloads. Also make sure that you do not have downloads which only work for expansion packs that you do not own. Good Luck

WHEN YOU LOAD UP THE GAME GO TO YOUR GAME OPTiONS AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CATALOG DISPLAYS CUSTOM CONTENT ENBALED.. iF YOU DONT HAVE iT ENABLED THE iTEMS WONT SHOW UP iN THE GAME 4. ONCE YOU HAVE DONE ALL OF THAT LOOK FOR THE iTEMS iN THE BUY MODE CATALOG, iF iT'S HAiR GO TO CREATE A SiM AND CHECK iF iT'S THERE... iT SHOULD BE THOUGH
