How to downloads songs from my computer to my ipod shuffle?

How to downloads songs from my computer to my ipod shuffle.I have some songs download in my documents and i want to trasfer to my ipod but i don,t know how to do that.I already downloaded itunes but i don.t know how thats works.Any suggestion how to do that and as i am very new with computer.If somebody start suggesting go step by step and don,t forget tell where to plug ipod wires.Thanks

1. You need the cord that came with the Ipod (usually a USB) once plugged in your computer detects it, but if it has trouble installing it'll ask you for the software. Once installed the Ipod will show up on the "My Computer" section and you go from there.
