- Downloading is retrieving a file from a server. (Loading it Down-Stream) Uploading is sending a file to the server. (Loading it Up-Stream).
- uploads are content that is submitted by a user of the service. Downloads are content that is available to download for the user. Upload means sending data away from your computer. Download means retrieving data to your computer.
- Upload to anywhere but your computer/PC and download to your work station (computer/PC).
- Well, an upload is going to come from your computer and travel up your PC to the internet. A download is going to come from the internet down into your computer. So they are not both downloads because one is coming down the pipe the other is going up.
- A download is a file you save from the Internet to your computer. An upload is a file you send or post on an Internet web-page or file attachments to an email.
- A download is when you put data from the internet on you computer. An upload is when you put data on the internet from your computer.
