Downloads and Uploads

How do I stop downloads to my temporary folder if i jsut want to watch a video?

Right I've had my computer for a while now and play online games and watch the supposidly *funny videos* etc. But lately every time I try ti just watch one it automaticaly downloads to my temporary folder instead of just bringing up windows media player and playing the film. Any Help would be great.

1. usually when you click one, you have the option of opening it or saving it.
