Downloads and Uploads

How come the Yahoo photo uploader uploads some pics & not others?

I tried uploading some pics & some would load & others would have a "failed" next to them after the others finish loading it would go back to the ones that failed & upload those. Is that something on my end or does it have to do with Yahoo?
