How do i find the maximum connection speed ratings for downloads and uploads for my system in kilobits?

2. online test are subjective. i don't really trust them to be accurate. download and install a freebie: http://dl.hageltech.com/dumeter-install.exe then download 8 big files at a time. it is better to use download accelerator plus (speedbit.com). the downloads will fill up your connection, and if you cannot see the straight line on the graph and the download goes very fast, then it means that you have a veryf ast conneciton and you need to download more big files. sources of big files, try microsoft's free trial softwares.

4. try installing a download manager e.g flashget, they give a good idea when downloading anything.
