Downloads and Uploads

Okay, I have limewire, what does the uploads section mean?

Okay, im new to limewire and the whole sharing files thing. Now I am sharing alot of files on limewire but what does the uploads section in the monitor tab mean? Is that people downloading my shared files or what? I know its a stupid question but I honestly dont know. Thanks for the help...

1. ok you are downloading from other people's computers. when you are done downloading it stays in your shared folder, the files are then being uploaded so that others can download them
